Twice a month at the Reilly School the City of Lowell hosts kids movie nights.  Drop off your child at 6pm and pick up by 8:30pm.  Kids will play games and at 6:30pm a movie will be shown.  We ask that kids who attend, watch the movie so as not to distract from other participants.  Disruptive kids will not be allowed back.PROGRAM DATES MAY CHANGE BASED ON SCHOOL AVAILABILITY.

Do your kids need something to do Saturdays?!?!  The Recreation department runs free programs for children ages 3-4 on Saturdays.  The program typically includes free arts and crafts, pickleball, games, sports activities and more! Registration can be done ONLINE ONLY Limited spots are available and are reserved for Lowell residents first. All dates and times subject to change. The Lowell Recreation Office is offering multiple flag football programs this season.The Outdoor program is a skills clinic for flag football.  This program will focus weekly on a single position and introduce individuals to the skills required to play in that position.  All participants will participate in each position.  Ages 9-12The following skills will be done as 1 week individual lessons:QuarterbackWide Receiver Running back Defensive Back Flag pullingThe Indoor program is an open Gym where kids can come and play flag football games as a group.  Teams will be organized nightly and the activity will run indoor at the Bartlett School Gym.Please be aware that the program may change or have cancellations last minute based on COVID guidelines as they are changed by the State Department of Public Health and the Local Board of Health.

6:30 PM - 7:30 PM    Yoga - Yoga Session 1
Free Yoga Classes  Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning "to join." It is a practice that joins, connects, or unifies the physical body, mental body, and spiritual body. Throughout each session, you will learn the different "asanas" or postures using proper body alignment techniques through various sequences. You'll have opportunities to build on your practice, increasing your strength, improving flexibility, coordination, and balance. Each class will also focus on breath work and allow you to explore your mind to discover more about yourself and get in touch with who you are; improving focus, mental clarity and your overall sense of well being. You'll also discover the countless health benefits of yoga including lowered blood pressure and slower pulse rate, improvements in digestion, the immune system, sleep, and managing stress.The Recreation department offers FREE adult weekly classes. Classes are 60-65 minutes and are for all levels, whether you are beginning and brand new to yoga or have been practicing for months or years. Each session will include various styles of yoga including gentle, hatha, and vinyasa. Please bring your mat, water, and any extra layers (sweatshirt, blanket, etc.). Free Yoga Classes  Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning "to join." It is a practice that joins, connects, or unifies the physical body, mental body, and spiritual body. Throughout each session, you will learn the different "asanas" or postures using proper body alignment techniques through various sequences. You'll have opportunities to build on your practice, increasing your strength, improving flexibility, coordination, and balance. Each class will also focus on breath work and allow you to explore your mind to discover more about yourself and get in touch with who you are; improving focus, mental clarity and your overall sense of well being. You'll also discover the countless health benefits of yoga including lowered blood pressure and slower pulse rate, improvements in digestion, the immune system, sleep, and managing stress.The Recreation department offers FREE adult weekly classes. Classes are 60-65 minutes and are for all levels, whether you are beginning and brand new to yoga or have been practicing for months or years. Each session will include various styles of yoga including gentle, hatha, and vinyasa. Please bring your mat, water, and any extra layers (sweatshirt, blanket, etc.). STOKLOSA IS A DROP IN PROGRAM ONLY AND IS GEARED MOSTLY FOR HIGH SCHOOL AGE YOUTH AGE 14-18.  NOT ORGANIZED LEAGUE PLAY.  THIS IS A REC BASKETBALL OPEN GYM.  Kids play a "Winner Stays" style system of pick up games.YOU MUST HAVE A SCHOOL ID TO ENTER THE BUILDING.CLOSED ON HOLIDAYS, VACATION WEEKS, AND SNOW DAYS.NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED.PROGRAM DATES MAY CHANGE BASED ON SCHOOL AVAILABILITY.THE BARTLETT SCHOOL IS AN OPEN GYM PROGRAM ONLY AND IS GEARED MOSTLY FOR HIGH SCHOOL AGE YOUTH AGES 9-13.  NOT ORGANIZED LEAGUE PLAY.  THIS IS A REC BASKETBALL OPEN GYM.  Kids play a "Winner Stays" style system of pick up games.  Staff are there to assist kids if needed.YOU MUST HAVE A SCHOOL ID TO ENTER THE BUILDING.CLOSED ON HOLIDAYS, VACATION WEEKS, AND SNOW DAYS.REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR THE BARTLETT PROGRAM.PROGRAM DATES MAY CHANGE BASED ON SCHOOL AVAILABILITY.

The Lowell Recreation Office is offering multiple flag football programs this season.The Outdoor program is a skills clinic for flag football.  This program will focus weekly on a single position and introduce individuals to the skills required to play in that position.  All participants will participate in each position.  Ages 9-12The following skills will be done as 1 week individual lessons:QuarterbackWide Receiver Running back Defensive Back Flag pullingThe Indoor program is an open Gym where kids can come and play flag football games as a group.  Teams will be organized nightly and the activity will run indoor at the Bartlett School Gym.Please be aware that the program may change or have cancellations last minute based on COVID guidelines as they are changed by the State Department of Public Health and the Local Board of Health.
 
6:00 PM - 8:45 PM    Volleyball - Volleyball Session 1
Drop-in volleyball program with no organized games. The youth will compete in pick-up games with no official scoring kept, scrimmages, and be led in educational drills that enhance speed, accuracy and timing.PROGRAM DATES MAY CHANGE BASED ON SCHOOL AVAILABILITY.
